This picture is an inspiration for the Liquid Color technique. Look at how the ink floats in the water, it blends from strong and dark to soft and, translucent similar to a veil of color. This is the idea behind the very 'now' Ombre color techniques which the celebrities like Drew Barrymore are wearing. Great combinations are a level 6-7 blonde blending seamlessly into a pale level 8-9 blonde or, a level 3 cool brown merging with a level 5 cool brown. Have fun and just try it!
